Computer Science and AI Foundations - CSAIF
The workshop is a multi-day professional learning series in Summer 2025, spanning five consecutive days in the summer. It supports new-to-CS and veteran CS teachers with the tools to implement MS & HS courses.

The Computer Science and AI Foundations curriculum offers teachers flexibility in how they implement the content, allowing for customizations to meet the needs of their students, while addressing the CSTA standards to meet the new Michigan Law.

  • Former CSP or CSA workshop participants​
  • Anyone who wants to integrate new curriculum into classroom
Expectations
  • Implement some of the modules in the 2025-2026 school year​
  • No administrator sign-off needed to be accepted​
Code.org CS Curriculum
We will be exploring Code.org’s CSAIF Curriculum that costs nothing to teachers or school districts to access or utilize in their classroom. 

​Ready to Teach!
Lesson plans come with a teacher guide, lesson resources, online management system, and tutorial videos. Lessons are great for beginners and experienced teachers. 

Facilitated by Trained Code.org Facilitator
You will have the opportunity to go through activities as a learner and teacher to develop your own understanding and student empathy.

LMS & SSO providers.

Course Description: The Code.org Computer Science and AI Foundations (CSAIF) curriculum introduces students to the core principles and real-world applications of computer science. Designed for high school students with or without prior computer science experience, this course empowers learners with essential skills to provide a comprehensive understanding of our dynamic digital world!  This curriculum is a semester long or half year versions. The semester contains seven three-week units for a total of 21 weeks.

Students will learn: Programming, Data Science, Python Programming Language, Computer Systems, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Networks & The Internet
